A few tips to keep in mind:

  • Sign up for mailing lists of industry networks, trade associations, and local/regional sustainability groups to stay current on news and events.
  • Look at conferences – who’s sponsoring and who’s speaking. Look at past conference programs as well; many have links to videos of past speakers.
  • When you find someone interesting in your space, look him/her up on LinkedIn, then look at their LinkedIn profile to see what “groups” they are a member of, and consider joining.
  • Search YouTube for videos of sustainability speakers and panels; there is a ton of content available, and these give you great starting points for informational interviews.
